1.) Because my entrepreneurship opportunity is very limited to the University of Florida, I plan to just close my business and move onto other things. I do not see myself making a career out of constructing pedestrian bridges on college campuses, so I think that it would just be best for me to find something else once I accomplish what I'm trying to start. I would just like to see some kind of recognition on the pedestrian bridge for myself if it were actually able to happen, but other than that there is not much more for me to do in this opportunity.
2.) I have selected this particular exit strategy because I want to do other things with my life after I graduate from the University of Florida. Given this specific opportunity that I have worked on, I think that this is more of a one and done thing to solve a problem than anything else.
3.) I think that my exit strategy really has not influenced any of the concepts that I have discussed because my exit is more of a choice than being forced. I worked very hard to come up with different details that would make my idea most beneficial for everyone on the University of Florida campus. The only thing that stands out to me in this situation is that I would be making connections and collecting resources just to complete one thing instead of a future of doing it, so it might be more difficult to acquire resources and people if they know that there is not a long term loyalty associated with it.
Hey Travis, I do think that your idea was a great idea for the University of Florida and making the walking experience on Museum road easier. I would agree with you that this opportunity was limited to UF and although there are other places that would need something like this, unless you want to go into construction management, It would not be an idea to push forward with. I believe that you were invested in this idea because it would help you out and a lot of other people. Good Job.
ReplyDeleteHi Travis,
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that I don't think there is much left for you in this field once this bridge gets built. I feel like you are more of a business person, and not really oriented toward the construction/engineering side of things. I agree that this is a good exit strategy for you, and I believe you are very aware person who will be able to find another opportunity when it comes to you, and make the most out of it. That is what you did here, and I think you will be able to continue doing that.
